In the Evening Sun

Our very noisy 'resident' male pheasant has now lost all his tail feathers. There is now some strong competition from another very handsome visiting male whose tail feathers are intact and who has his eye on the girls!
Aaaw ! dear poor thing -- but he still holds his head up high !!

He's very handsome even without his tail feathers. The plumage looks like it's painted on.
