This doesn't compare at all with photos posted by my friends in Australia but I do get excited when I visit Christopher, Jo, Finley and Niamh and see parakeets. These were in a neighbours garden, quite early in the morning when it was very dull and gloomy. I appreciate that they're an invasive species, they shouldn't be here, they do a lot of damage to fruit in gardens and orchards and they outcompete the native birds but nevertheless they're very beautiful.
