In a bit of a flap

Is it just me........ or has the whole concept of customer care vanished from our culture. Companies seem to think that having a poster on the wall proclaiming "Our customers are very important to us" is all they have to do. Then they can treat us like mugs and get away with it.

We were expecting carpet fitters to arrive tomorrow morning to lay new carpets in the hall stairs and landings. Just got a call today to say that the carpet fitters are on holiday this week and won't be here until Wednesday next week.

Having just finished moving all the furniture out, thus rendering my dining room, my office and my guest room all unusable....... It's a bit bloody late to tell me know. We ordered the carpet two months ago and booked the fitting date to fit in with our very busy schedule....... Surely they must have checked that the fitters were available at that point...... or at least some point earlier than the day before they were due. ..... You would have bloody thought so....... but obviously not.

So I'll just reorganise my life and my whole schedule for the next week around these muppets then. I may have just invented a couple of new expletives while on the phone discussing customer care with them this morning. :(
I feel your wrath!! Maybe a call to the manager? Not that it solves your situation. gggggrrrrrrrrrr!

Oh how inconsiderate! I suggest you do the same with payment. Nice shot of the goose though!

I would be seething! In fact I think I would cut off my nose despite my face and tell them where they could put their carpets! Nice goose photo though!

Great timing and capture....Indeed, there's no accounting for the lack of professionalism when it comes to customer service these days. I would negotiate a nice discount for their error.

Love the photo and fav! Now, for your story...since you cannot shoot or hang them, I would at least read them the riot act since you had the appointment scheduled, moved your furniture in preparation and arranged your schedule to accommodate said appt. Their phone call was too little, too late!!! You TIME is just as important and they should be held accountable and offer a BIG discount for the major inconvenience!!! Getting new carpet is almost as bad as moving!!! Good luck!

A beautiful shot of this happy bird... I'm sorry about your woes, that is very uncalled for and they don't deserve your business!!! I hope they realize what a predicament they put you guys in... you deserve a discount for their lack of proper planning. Bad business!

Bad business practise feel sorry for you and Kitty in this predicament. You are important to them till your cash is in their bank account, then they don't give a shit about customer care. We had a problem with a big electrical company last year ordered a new washing machine to be delivered two days after we came back of holiday. Was delivered two days before we came home and left in our neighbours garage. when we complained all they said was was it damaged if not what do we expect them to do, and as you say the expletives are not printable.
