I am always interested in boat names and their origins. I thought this was quite an appropriate name for a boat, Bellerophon being the son of Poseidon and a brave heroic Greek God. But if there already was a Bellerophon I, you would think they could come up with another name for their second boat. There are plenty of other Greek mythological characters with watery connections.
There was a boat further up the estuary called Swallow II....... and I thought...... If I already had a boat called Swallow....... I just wouldn't be able to resist the urge to call my second boat "Spit". But that is probably just my sad and sordid piratical sense of humour.
