This guy scared off my Bluebirds! I almost straightened the shot, but he's pretty heavy and the feeder tilted as he was hanging on to it. I still enjoyed seeing him up close. He's a frequent visitor to my feeder.
He's a Red-bellied Woodpecker and you've taken a great picture of him here! In the beginning of fall, mine also scared off the smaller birds, but after awhile they decided they weren't going to let him hog all the suet. Now the Downys and Hairys fly up and make him move! Beautiful capture!
