This was a technical study to test some camera settings for fast moving subjects like birds in flight. After 150 images, this is the best that I got. I used a pre-focus and the self timer. This needs some work, but I'm tired.
you've got an interesting image there, which would benefit from cropping - and you'll probably find that when you start taking pictures of birds. Have you tried panning? If you can co-ordinate it, it gives you a bit more time to keep the bird or whatever in focus.
Great experiment. So good to see you trying out different settings and pushing your camera knowledge.
I can tell by the way you are methodically studying each camera setting from a technical point of view that you are an engineering or scientific type.
Good for you!
