Today's flash of red post processing was a lesson for me. This seemed like such a simple project, today. I could set up just what I wanted, and there was this nice light shining in through the window. However, once I got to the editor, I realized that the dog was over exposed, and repositioning the game board to give some shadow to the hotel would have made a better photo. Who would have thought to use HDR to photograph a Monopoly board?
Two lessons for today:
1. Be aware of lighting even in the simplest situations
2. Shoot tethered to the computer whenever it is practical. Seeing this on a large screen might have made these problems more obvious when they would be easy to fix.
