What the tourist brochures don't show

Day 9: Jasper to Lake Louise
The famous Lake Louise taken from our hotel room window.
The oval markings on the lake are the remains of the winter ice skating ring and the rectangular markings behind are from the ice castle that is built for Christmas.
This pic was taken in living colour - not B&W.
What a view you have from your hotel window! One could sit and gaze at this scenery for hours... days. Looks a tad chilly there yet though. The color of the water through the snow and ice appears to be the loveliest of teal~green.

Oh, wow! I've always wanted to Alaska, but I don't think I could handle the weather! LOL! It was quite chilly this weekend in southern Canada at Niagara Falls. But, the view is spectacular!

I hope the weather was better today; spring in the mountains can be turbulent.

Great shot Terry as I have never been here in the winter time

Gotta admit I've never seen that view of Lake Louise. Not in that condition anyway. The jigsaw puzzle would be a little more difficult.
