Snowy Owl

Day 22: Whittier to Talkeetna.
Docked at Whittier about midnight and disembarked around 6:30am. Went by train from Whittier, through Anchorage to Talkeetna and then by coach to Mt McKinley Lodge.
This Snowy Owl was being displayed by his handler in the lobby.
We had some lovely scenery along the way but I thought I should give the scenic shots a rest. Besides, I was suffering withdrawal symptoms and needed to post a bird shot.

Wow! Nice capture Poppo. We had an influx of them here on Cape Cod last winter. I love this one. He's been cleaned up, as compared to the ones in the wild.
