My minestrone soup is just about as famous as my jerky. There is about 5 litres on the go here that I made up on Tuesday. The only thing good about winter is that it's a good excuse to eat soup and stews.

You've met the macaw and the African Grey as well as the two green cheeks and a quail. There are five quail actually and then a cockatiel that belongs to my youngest son but it lives here with me. I've bird-sat a sulfer-crested cockatoo once so got a taste of what those characters are like. Crazy, that's what they are!
