Birds I Don't Like: Getting so desperate here that I am now taking photos of the birds I don't like. This is a White Ibis or more commonly called a Bloody Ibis and is number 2 on my don't like list.
Taken at a park - thankfully we don't get them at home - touch wood.
Nice looking bird, though. Interesting how the same family of birds can appear the world over with with just slight variations. I know the White Ibis (different from yours, with pink bill) and the Glossy Ibis from trips to Florida. His legs are very scaly, a reminder that birds evolved from reptiles.
Have a watch on you pic.`s and do like them very much. Thank you for you visit, you nice comment and following me. I appreciate it very much and `ll follow you to.
@tellefella They'll take your chips alright and just about anything else that's not nailed down. We were once having lunch on some outside tables and a couple of them flew down onto the table and started helping themselves to our food despite us trying to belt them away.
One of the reasons I don't like them.
Well, he's an odd creature, I will give you that, but those fancy chest feathers and that rather glamorous black tail plume certainly provide some merit for being photographed. Ha! Curious to see what lucky bird takes the #1 spot on your Don't Like list.
What a phenomenal image and that is a strange bird with the big beak. Seems like his head and neck should be a little bigger to hold that beak up. It is really a great close up. FAV
Haha, poor Ibis, they don't really behave like that here so I don't dislike them, lol. These white ones are in Townsville but we have the black ones here (hour and half inland). They're not the prettiest of birds but still a great shot. Like Denise @lyndemc I would like to know what is #1?
