I saw this spot yesterday on my way to gate crashing the Governor's party so I went back to night to take a few pics. Not as good as I expected but I didn't have a back up shot so I was stuck with it. I think I have a bit of work to do on my night shots. Looks better on black
Still a great shot. It's a stunning skyline. If you lower your ISO to 100, use a tripod, set the timer on the camera to avoid shakes, and put it in aperture priority and you should get a stunning shot.
Not a thing wrong with this - especially on the black. That's one of the nice things (well the main thing) that's nice about big cities. Like the shot.
@karlow75 I tried 2 vantage points. The first I was able to use the tripod, ISO of 200 etc and took some shots. Moved to a second which had a better angle at the city but couldn't use the tripod so I jacked up the ISO and rested the camera on a fence. At both places, I was pretty exposed and I'm not too sure how illegal it all was so it was all pretty rushed.
@terryliv haha, the secret is to pretend its not illegal :) This is still a great shot. You can just see a little bit of noise from the high ISO. I do like the Brissie skyline at night.
Night photos are something you don't see in my project, the reason being I don't have any cool city skyline like this one to shoot. Sounds like you risked life and limb to get this shot. That's the spirit.
