Grevillea Robusta by terryliv

Grevillea Robusta

The Silky Oaks (Grevillea Robusta) are out in flower at present. Silky oak is a very good cabinet making timber but the tree that these flowers came from would never have to worry about being felled for that purpose. It was very scungy but it was covered in flowers.

My apologies but I am going to be flat chat for the next few days and may not have time for many comments. But I'll still be watching
They are beautiful here, at the moment, too. One of my favourites. Very nice shot.

Ah Poppo, this was going to be my shot for the day but the wind was blowing like crazy and no way could I focus on the flowers. My trees are covered with blossoms much to the Friar birds delight. Great shot BTW

You have such interesting flowers there in your grand country. Between your gorgeous flowers and your amazing parrots, I'm thinking Australia is the place to be. :)

So the Big Boy Wagons didn't look like a lyndemc shot, huh? For once I managed to get something different??? It could well be the only time. ha.

Nice capture Terry. It irks me when watching some of these diy shows that they paint over timber with beautiful grain.

Beautiful colours. Silky oak when it is in flower is one of David's favourite trees.

Thank you for telling us about this silky oak. It is beautiful and the color is stunning and now you'll be getting flowers while we have our dormant flower season. We still have flowers around but they are long for being around. FAV
