We went out in the pouring rain to get a photo of one of the houses in the Christmas lights competition. The things we do for 365.
The lights were constantly changing colours and patterns and a single shot does not do them justice.
I took a mountain of shots but I reckoned that this one had the best mix of lights and colours. So I just had to put up with the stupid woman who got in the way and stuffed up the star. :-(
Definitely best on black
Laughing! The shot is gorgeous. I envision their hydro/electric meter spinning rapidly grabbing those $! The woman adds another element to the shot. Nicely done.
That is just a whole lot of light bulbs! What I always wonder is where do they store all this stuff in the off-season? The wet pavement gave you lots of extra color for your efforts. Thanks for venturing out in the rain to get this shot. Appreciate your efforts.
Wow, this is beautiful. It is so nice captured. It almost looks like that is water in front of it because of the wet pavement and reflections. This must be so beautiful in person.
Wow! that's a stunning capture! Thanks for braving the rain and capturing this - the reflection and brolly is great :) By the way, is that rain in Brisbane?? fav
Those lights are wonderful - what amazing detail you were able to get with so many lights and colors. Love the reflections on the wet street in front of the house. Wonder how long it took the home owner to put this all together - must have started early!
Wow, people go to so much trouble decorating their houses don't they. I must go out one evening and check out the houses near us, been too busy this week though.
Don't you just hate it when people walk into your photos. Very inconsiderate of them.
