. . . . Going nowhere.
The new 4.6 km Legacy Tunnel was opened today for a walk through and Rhoda and I joined the tens of thousands of others who made this totally pointless journey. I have absolutely no idea why but it was a good family outing.
Can anyone see Rhoda?
I can't believe it, you pipped me and got your shot up first! We were there too, making the 4.6km journey. We only got in at 11.30am. There was a surprisingly large turn out.
That is quite a long tunnel, I hope it was at least downhill. I can't see Rhonda. You'll have to help me. (If you're not familiar with the beach boys that will make no sense :)
@pamknowler Like I said Pam, I have no idea why. Because we could I guess, and it will be the only time we can.
Over the years, they have had a walk day prior to opening for all of Brisbane's new tunnels and bridges. Its a once only opportunity before they go into use.
Looks like the two gals there on the sidelines are wondering why they've come for this pointless walk. ha ha
Hey, thanks for the book recommendation. I finished Thunderbolt Kid over the weekend. Enjoyed it immensely, both the laughing and the learning parts. There were 30 pages of 'One Summer' at the end of the book so now I'm reading it. Awhile back you asked exactly where I was located when camping. That was Galesburg. I live outside of Monmouth which is just thirty minutes from the Mississippi river.
@dide Sorry Diane. I had a Senior's moment and forgot about the Beach Boys discussion above. Actually I don't have the heart to tell them that it is Rhoda, not Rhonda :-)
