Well not normally but last night we were over at some friends for dinner and they live in an area with many young families so they were all set up for the evening. These friendly looking things welcomed the kids with a big bag of sweets hanging underneath.
@peterlgrave Definitely not Peter. Rhoda and I usually lock the door and hide under the bed. Well Rhoda hides under the bed, I use it as a great excuse to play PP&M's song A Soalin on UTube which I have just finished doing once again.
We never celebrated Halloween - except for bobbing apples. What was that all about? I don't answer the door - only trouble was the only people who rang at the door were family who hadn't said they were coming!! I was shouting to my sister - don't open it as she was letting them in!! What a great welcome!! LOL!!
Sure is scary but very creative. I don't mind kids celebrating but do think it has got far to commercial. Also some kids are getting far to cheeky and demanding, not happy with a few sweets. I had a friend who offered sweets and the kids said no thank you we want money!!!!
We celebrated Halloween in a big way in Hong Kong. It was easy there - you only needed to do one apartment block and you have enough sweets for a month!
