This was the favoured way of getting out to the waves off Snapper Rocks - but only if you knew what you were doing. Once you were in the water, the back wash from the wave you launched into carried you straight out to the ride area.
The guy left behind in this series of shots stood there for ages trying to pluck up the courage to jump but eventually retreated to go out by a more cautions route.
My goodness your timeing would have to be perfect otherwise you would be thrown back onto the rocks! No wonder this guy hesitated as it looks as if the sea got rougher and the waves got bigger while he watched! Fantastic captures! Great collage! Fav!
