Day 7 - Broken River, Eungella Nat Park

The lady who we were renting our cabin from told us a particular spot on the Broken River where there was a good chance of us seeing a platypus. We thought "Yeah, I'll bet" but took her at her word and off we went. We didn't just get a fleeting capture of one. Over a period of 2+ hours, we managed almost 300 shots of a number of them in 4 different locations. Unbelievable

For O/S 365ers, these unique animals are quite rare and very difficult to see in the wild.
Wow how fantastic to see these rare creatures! Love them! Fav!

I love these guys. When we were in Tassie last year, I sat by the side of a bridge where I was led to believe they 'hung out' for about 4 hours. No luck .... I think the locals set me up. LOL

I have been lucky to see the playpus twice in the wild. One in Bombala in NSW and another in Yungaburra in North Qld.
Awesome capture.
