Cairns Birdwing

Day 11 - Kuranda, FNQ

After spending all that time chasing a Cairns Birdwing, I have to post a shot of one. And if it's going to be a bad shot, it may as well be a really bad shot.
Interesting in this one that the legs and flower are all fine and in focus but the wings are still going ten to the dozen.

Ha ha, I have lots of similar shots, albeit different butterflies, from a visit to the butterfly house at Singapore airport. Very frustrating :)

@merrelyn Now that is one place where I thought it would be a cinch to get a good butterfly shot and I had planned a visit next time we go to the UK. Not so you say?

@terryliv it's worth going in, Terry. It was lovely to see the butterflies, but they moved very quickly and often settled where you couldn't get a decent shot. I took heaps of photos but most of them were duds.
