Rainbow Bee Eater

Day 11 - Port Douglas, FNQ

Not the best shot I know but I have only ever seen these on one or two occasions so I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity of posting Nanna's shot of a Rainbow Bee Eater that was flitting around our caravan park just outside of Port Douglas (or so I am told).
Nanna saw him, Nanna took the shot from long range, I missed out completely.

BoB I've been told
Nanna did well to spot it. Camouflaged in well. They are beautiful birds.

Well spotted Nanna, great on black, even his yellow neck band blends in with the camouflage...

Very well camouflaged bird. You did a good job to spot and photograph him.

He does stand out a little more on black. He certainly blends in with the tree.

@pcoulson @gigiflower I didn't do anything. Never even saw it. I was off chasing non-existent sunsets

Nanna did well to see it. They can be hard to spot. I've only seen them in Kununurra :)
