Just in case anyone is interested, here is a map showing where we went on our drive around Queensland. The places we stayed and the night we stayed there are also shown. I hope you can read it. We are currently at night 12 in Undara at which point we had covered 3,460kms.
I am a mapaholic. I cant watch anything that is talking about a place on TV or even look at a 365ers postings without getting a map out to see where the place is. I have maps everywhere.
So I am posting this just in case there are other people out there like me.
Impressive adventure Terry thanks for sharing it with us, we now know where you have been and going whats the total Kilometres expected for the round trip Terry:)
@pcoulson 7,600kms Peter. As at Undara, 3,460kms.
We actually bought a new car in Feb and it had only 3,300 kms on the clock when we left home. Didn't take long for it to become a not very new car.
The fact that it was new actually stopped us from going on a couple of dirt roads we would otherwise have tackled.
@gilbertwood Make sure you get Hema maps for the Simpson. I had two different ones that covered the area when we did our 3 tracks tour back in 2015 but there is probably a specific one for the Simpson.
And I would really appreciate it if you didn't mention your trip again. :-(
