Why did the emu suddenly cross the road? Who knows.

These 3 Emus crossed the road in front of the car. Taken through the windscreen and not the best of photos I know but I just had to post it.

They aren't the smartest of animals and many end up as road kill.

Fabulous. Don't you just love it when you spot emus in the wild and even in those open spaces they just decide to run, because they can.

Dumb birds, it was the next sign down that said Emu Crossing instead of Floodway. No wonder they can't fly.
