In our seats inside the United Centre. I have no idea what the significance of the "One Goal" statement is. I would have "ten goals" would have been a more lofty ambition
The "One Goal" phrase is the team's motto for the year. The One Goal being to win the championship, but it could end up dooming them as a prediction for how many goals per game they might score. I'm not sure they thought that one through.
@stray_shooter Ron said it all! It's an unfortunate motto -- the goal is to win the Stanley Cup, but One Goal has so many meanings it's become really easy to mock.
@taffy@stray_shooter They certainly only scored 1 goal that night. Unfortunately, the predators scored 2. But they did live up to their motto so they should have been happy LOL.
And yes we did enjoy it Ron. I really enjoyed the sweepers who came out during the breaks to sweep the ice. They must have been really cold ;-)
