What Were They Thinking. by terryliv

What Were They Thinking.

I am only a short arse but even so, the driving position in this XK120 (different one to the one in my main album) was diabolical. As you can see, the seat is back but the steering wheel was still planted right on my lap.

The only way I could get out was to fall over to my right until my hand was on the ground and drag myself out backwards until I was left lying on the ground. And then stand up. Not very elegant.

This will be my last posting from the Gosford Classic Car Museum. Hope all you petrol heads out there have enjoyed them.
A great fun shot, would make a good cartoon series.

A very fun series...for this one, I also wondered how in the world you got INTO the seat to begin with! Definitely a toy car feel to this.

Those sleek, tiny sports cars are a delight to chiropractors Iā€™m sure! Jerry had his eye on one 10 years ago and after getting into it and out of it, that was the end of that!

This reminds me of my dad's stories about flying the Mustang P51 in WWII--it was only for smaller pilots.

If only we had the photo of you getting out :)

I'm more surprised that you were actually allowed to get in it :)

If only someone thought of making the steering wheel smaller
