Kookaburra with Escort

For some reason or other, the butcher birds don't like the kookaburras and they all go on immediate attack when one comes into the neighbourhood.

This is dad butcher bird keeping a very close watch on the kookaburra to make sure that he doesn't hang around too long. The magpies don't seem to be bothered by them.
