Blushing Bromeliad by terryliv

Blushing Bromeliad

For most of its life, Neoregelia Carolinae has shiny green leaves with flashes of burgundy and red.
However, when it is due to flower, the area of the plant around the central well turns a beautiful rich red giving rise to its name of Blushing Bromeliad. Multiple small flowers are produced from the central rosette in the well.

Busy again today and not much on offer in the way of photo opportunities so I just grabbed this from the garden
Lovely shot, nice composition Poppo. I like these ones.

I love the colors and the shininess of the leaves and of course out of the water droplets. But what really makes it for me is the detail and the clarity. Love it! Fav

I have a photo of this exact same shot from a trip to Costa Rica. It always makes me think of baby birds waiting for mommy to bring them supper.
