And of course I couldn't resist some close ups. Took over 20 of them and they were all different and just so cute. Had a lot of trouble selecting one.

You are lucky that he stayed still long enough! This is like Bas but he doesn't have the crest as his topknot is white like the rest of him. Steve did have a sulphur crested before Bas but sadly he caught a feather and the vet didn't deal with him quickly enough so he died. This is a wonderful close up and a trillion Favs for it!
It's just fantastic how comfortable this guy is with you. You couldn't ask for better photo opportunities! I can take pictures of parrots this close but it's no big deal because mine are pets and want to be as close as they can get, but this beauty is a wild animal who's deemed you worthy of his presence which in my book is a real blessing. Do you think this is the one your wife marked with red nail polish back in March?
