I rescued this little fellow from our bathroom this morning and took him outside.
He thanked me by sitting on the Vriesea Platynema (I couldn't help myself) just long enough for me to get a couple of pics before he launched himself off into the stratosphere - never to be seen again.
Nice focus on all those gangly parts. There's a sense of urgency when taking these guys' picture because you know any second they're going to rocket off, and hopefully not right into your lens.
