I Have No Idea . . . .

. . . what is going on at our place.
This morning Rhoda was in the kitchen when she became aware of movement behind her. Turned around and Wun Bung Ai was sitting on the kitchen bench behind her. We reckon he had been sitting outside waiting and we didn't notice him so he said bugger it and flew inside.
Rhoda gave him a feed while he sat right where you see him, and then flew outside.
And we haven't seen him again for the rest of the day.
So cute, lucky you

And he knew that the kitchen is where the food is! Smart kooka that Wun Bung Ai. He looks really clean, his white bits are very white! Maybe from the dip in the pool?

What can I say - be very careful! We had a kookaburra friend like this in Sydney. The gloss came off when he attacked our then 1 year old to get food out of his mouth...

Word must be out among the birds that you have a soft spot for them.

Yikes, I like my birds but I don't want to be arguing with them in my kitchen! What happens if the bird doesn't like what you feed it?
