. . . . I'll give you birds.
A number of people have made comment on the lack of birds from me over the past few weeks so here is a selection of shots of White Cockatoos.
The top two were taken back in 2012. This cocky's upper and lower mandibles(?) did not meet. The lower one was growing around and was pressing on to its skull and the upper had grown around and was pressing into its throat. We called him Beaker (as in The Muppets). Its a long story but I managed to catch it and take it to the RSPCA and it was put down.
The bottom left shot was taken a few days ago and the bottom right was taken yesterday. I have not seen either of them again - thank goodness.
Oh my word what unfortunate birds!! So glad you could help the top one - what a shame though!! The bottom left looks like someone has tried to pluck him - perhaps they thought he was the Christmas turkey!!
My goodness Poppo the bottom two are totally bizarre. Such a shame about the top bird, pleased he could be euthanised as he would have had a wretched demise :)
Oh my stars. Perhaps I shouldn't have looked at this image. I won't be able to get these pictures out of my head. Bless you for catching that top fellow. The other two could use the same assistance.
