Gimme Seed

The reason for Nanna pulling a face is that the King Parrot is a large bird and naturally uses its claws to hang on. Have a look at the bird on her arm. The next day her arms were a mass of small red scratches form the birds clambering over her.
Great scalp massage when they landed on your head though - especially for those of us who are folliclely challenged.

Nanna does look quite pained!

She is putting on a brave face. Their claws are razor sharp. But they are a magnificent bird.

They were obviously aware of her prowess as a helicopter pilot and knew they could subject her to a little physical abuse. What a great capture! Will that be this year's Christmas card maybe?

Lovely shot if your not the one the birds are on.

Okay, I'm completely envious. What a treat to serve as a perch for such beautiful birds. (I'm frequently decorated with little scratches on my arms from serving as a parrot perch. It's how I know when a nail trimming is needed.)
