It may not be the Hofbräuhaus but depending on which web site you refer to, Brisbane's Oktoberfest is either the 5th largest in the world, the 8th largest in the world or just doesn't rate at all. Regardless, it is a brilliant afternoon and evening.
It is the second time we have been and it is wonderful to see young people, old people and kids all up doing The Chicken Dance and Swim, Swim, Swim (or something like that) and really enjoying themselves is brilliant. Yes, rivers of beer are consumed but does not seem to be accompanied by the normal agro one would associate with that and everyone appears really happy.
It certainly gives the guys the opportunity to put on some really ridiculous looking lederhosen and for the girls to display all their assets . . errr . . . charms. :-)
I love the girl with the pretzel; I just wish she had Viking antlers too. All together, the collage reminds me of the "Springtime for Hitler" sequence in the musical "The Producers." Have you seen that?
