@ludwigsdiana it took a lot of trial and error failing for me @ludwigsdiana but if you can do it post editing then definitely give that a try!
a big part of it too is to really zoom onto a subject, and it if is a little distance way even better
@koalagardens I have watched so many tutorials and tried all possibilities. The problem is that my camera does not have a fixed aperture, when I zoom it goes all the way and I do not get any bokeh at all :-(
@ludwigsdiana sounds like post processing will definitely the answer for you - I was only moments away from taking that route myself. Maybe you can even find something in Topaz or some kind of texture that could give a bokeh effect :) just don't let it stress you out too much
@ludwigsdiana you already did find something post production that works or you already did let it stress you out? 🤭🥴🤣 I'm really hoping it is the first option!
@ludwigsdiana I had to use the post process method. I made different hearts and shot some on goldish colored paper. Then I repeatedly duplicated in SuperimposeX until I had some “bokeh” I liked. Then I superimposed by blending the “bokeh” with the original. That destroyed the look of the rose, so I created a mask of the rose and buds from the original. Then I put the blended version as a background and put the mask on top. So it kind of imitates focus on the flower with a blurred background.
