my new Nikon weighs significantly more than my old canon. I really need to use a tripod more than I do to compensate, but when 4 wrens start dancing about just outside the glass door, there is no time so I decided to just test it out. these are some of the better shots. not the result i would like, but then the glass was dirty too ... @koalagardens
I understand your desire to get pics when they are so close.
Some years ago I decided not to any longer use a camera with interchangeable lens but my Leica (an excellent all round camera) has had a little glitch and needs some TLC so I am using an alternative, a Canon MS 50II but it is so much heavier and less 'ready' than my Leica. It will take some getting used to and I am lucky to have access to it but it is so much heavier and and takes more time to be ready!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond I do have one on the quad bike in my box of tricks but not beside me and of course I could not move, I was lucky the camera was beside me from uploading to the computer earlier

I'm sure it will get easier what about a monopoly? Less faff to set up than tripod.
