The Northsea

This statue is standing actually on the terrace of the Museum Beelden aan zee ( statues near the sea) and the poor girl has been looking for years at some very ugly buildings next to the museum……..If they had turned her a bit this would have been her actual view. So for once, at least in my imagination, she has a better view.

This really gets to the heart of ruckenfigur. I really like how you got in close and just did the head. We really are viewing her view and know just where to look beyond her!
