I went out to get the mail and looked down the peaceful street to see these clouds beginning to tower menacingly straight south of us. When I checked the weather radar and satellite maps I found that these clouds are about 40 miles / 60 km from here. This makes them very tall, and since the heat is continuing to build, they have a strong possibility of developing into thunderstorms very soon.
