Privets are blooming everywhere in central Virginia right now. They are beautiful but are they ever fragrant. Powerfully fragrant. You can be driving down the interstate with your windows closed, see a privet 30 feet / 10 meters off the road and still smell the wonderful perfume!
I'm not sure of this is a Chinese privet, a Japanese privet, a European privet, or a California privet. Whichever, it smelled really nice from a long way away.
