This F/A-18E Super Hornet was making a carrier-approach landing to Naval Air Station Oceana which brought him right over the trees at the edge of the area where people (like me) congregate to get buzzed by military aircraft.
Top bad about the overcast. Oh, well. I guess I'll have to come back another day when the sun is out.
@jon_lip No worries there! Since we live literally inside the traffic pattern, and the viewing area where I took this shot is only 10 minutes away, it'll happen.
