About a week ago I posted a picture of a garden spider in front of our front door. I named her Gabby the Guardian Garden Spider. Well, she was there that day and the next, but the day after she was gone. The day after she disappeared she reappeared about 50 feet / 15 meters away under our mailbox at the curb.
Like most spiders she's really shy. When I tried to get close to her for a macro she fairly flew up her web to a space directly under the box. The funny thing is that when I've gone out to get the mail she stays put. She was really freaked out by my kneeling down.
