The Haunting of Ocean Lakes by timerskine

The Haunting of Ocean Lakes

Happy to report a very successful haunting of our new home in the Ocean Lakes subdivision! The Missus and I were expecting more kids to come, based on the number of homes decorated for Halloween. But we were pleased as punch at a record high rate of refusal - where kids stop at the end of the driveway, or come partway up the drive, and just 'nope' on down the street. When we were looking at the houses decorated for Halloween we noted that they were all cute things and not at all scary. We figured that the neighborhood was not ready for us and we appear to have been correct, as we were 'noped' by close to HALF the kids who came near. Never in 30 years of doing this have we had more than about 15-20% refuse. So between the lower-than-expected population and the larger-than-expected nope rate, we have lots of Kit Kats!

What you see here is only a part of the house. The action took place to the left of this.
Nice and scary

haha..we have a nope house too.....and we don't even decorate.......just live in a Victorian house with a spooky garden.....and the fact that we are actual witches may be a reason......we had not one visitor....I had my hat ready and all.....we now have a lot oh Haribo sweets !......

@allie912 Definitely not Scrooge. We give out good candy and are pretty generous with it. In fact, the Missus, who plays the nice person after I ambush the unsuspecting prey, will ask if they got scared, and if they say "yes" then they get more than one Kit Kat bar.

But yeah, I'll go with Beelzebub or Mephistopheles.
