These Northrup Grumman E-2 Hawkeyes flew over this afternoon. I can't tell which squadron they're from, but there are at least four squadrons based near Norfolk Naval Base, about 65 miles away.
Hawkeyes are carrier-based airborne early warning aircraft.
I was really thrilled to see them, if ever so briefly, as I have been starved of air show activity this summer.
