The Missus and I spent the day exploring parts of the Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge (RRVNWR). We got a very early start on a still and frosty morning.
Shortly after we arrived a very slight breeze started. The sun had begun to warm the lower atmosphere and cause some air currents. These gentle wisps of wind caused small ripples on the pond's surface, giving this pied-billed grebe an abstract background...on Wilna Pond.
