Open Other End

This is the bottom of a kabocha, a type of winter squash, sometimes known as a Japanese pumpkin. I spotted this at our local international grocery.

The distortion at the edges is due to my wide-open aperture, giving a narrow depth of field, and the bottom of the kabocha's concave shape.
Ha! my first thought was a pumpkin. Great macro!
