Can any farmers out there explain why they haven’t been harvested? They look healthy but they are all just lying there...

I think it's sugar beet, which is harvested from autumn to spring so is perhaps pulled up but not yet collected? It's used for animal feed so won't be treated as carefully as vegetables for humans I suppose!

Yes it will be a crop to feed the sheep. Our nephew has his sheep eating these in a field at the moment.
