Back in the days before privatisation, all of our buses were yellow and were run by the Birmingham Corporation. Nowadays there are a number of different colours of buses on our roads, mainly red or graphite or pale blue…but none are yellow.
So..imagine my surprise when an old yellow bus pulled up right beside me today. Luckily I was able to take a quick shot of this plaque on the side of the bus before it pulled away again.
A quick google revealed that this bus is now privately owned and runs from Solihull to Sutton Coldfield Grammar School.
