Stumpery

There is an area in Biddulph gardens that has a sort of Carboniferous feel about it. Big oak tree trunks and ferns are used to line the pathways in this area. It is the largest and oldest stumpery in the country and it is very effective.
Haven't been to Biddulph for years! Liked the moving from one world to another :-)

That is very attractive. What a good way to use fallen tree trunks, the ferns make it look good.

What a wonderful, all-natural fence and a brilliant way to recycle the trunks! Beautiful!

@365projectorgheatherb Thanks Heather. Hope you’re not too troubled by the air quality too much just now.

@tinley23 Thanks, Lesley! The air quality in our area has improved quite a bit in the last day and a half. But weather forecasters remind us that the fires are still burning, so a change in wind could make the air worse again. Fingers crossed for a good rain soon!

That is very unusual but I guess if it works that's a good thing.
