This one was the hardest, by far: I had to integrate my participant's number - and I didn't want to use my badge. So I searched the whole airport for a 57, but didn't find one (Bremen airport is rather small, there are only 37 gates per terminal). Then, I thought I would use this bird and it's reflection in the water. But I was totally unable to place my badge so that the number was clearly recognizable on the picture. Finally, I solved it as you can see, but I'm not happy with it. I have better versions of this photo without the stupid number.
On saturday, I took part in a PhotoMarathon for the first time. At 11 am, we met at Bremen airport and got the motto for the day (Galaxy) and the first three challenges: 1. First contact, 2. Earth below us and 3. Speed of light.
After three hours, everybody had to reach the next destination: the city centre of Bremen, where we got the next challenges: 4. Ubiquitous, 5. Behind the moon, 6. Supernova.
Again 3 three hours later, we met in a rather industrial (or former industrial) suburb and got: 7. Extraterristrial, 8. The final frontier, 9. I don't give a damn (it's something like "for me, this is a falling star" if you want to translate it literally from German to English).
Photos had to be taken in landscape format, had to be taken in the right order and it was forbidden to alter them once they were taken.
I'm not a big expert of space stuff, so I decided (after taking far too long for the first photo) to just interpret every challenge the way I liked.
Comments and suggestions are much appreciated!
