Choral Synagogue, Vilnius

Once, Vilnius was called the "Jerusalem of the East". Before the Holocaust, Vilnius had about 100 synagogues. Today, this one from 1903 is the only one in Vilnius that survived Nazi rule and Soviet occupation and is still in use.
