Pigeon River Upper Falls by tosee

Pigeon River Upper Falls

Sitting on top of the falls, on the Canadian side looking upstream. The Pigeon river marks part of the boundary between Minnesota and Ontario.
The falls and cataracts formed a barrier to the
voyageurs who had to portage goods and furs. This nine mile long portage became known as the Grand Portage.
Wonderful capture, great depth in this shot and it works great in b&w.
