Horseshoe Falls by tracymeurs

Horseshoe Falls

Another from my visit to Niagara Falls on Monday. This is Horseshoe Falls which sits on the Canadian side of the border. 6 million cubic feet of water flows over the crest of the falls every minute. It stands 165 feet high. It was warmer on Monday which created a lot of mist at the base of these falls, so you can't see the ice formations as easily as the American Falls. You can just barely see one pile on the bottom left of photo. Looks a bit odd in the photo actually. Did this one in colour instead of B&W.
Fabulous.

Fabulous photo of the falls (yes, I like alliterations). Where's that barrel when you need one?

Ah...this would be the "better" of the two falls to which you referred earlier in the week! ;) What a terrific shot! Definitely captured the power of the water.
